Self-assess your bosoms.

There are many parts of a perfect fitting bra which should be adhered to at all times.

They are as follows:

  • Your bra should be firm around your torso. This acts as an anchor. The band is fit parallel to the floor.

  • The wire should not sit on breast tissue. The gore (middle of the bra) should sit comfortably between breasts.

  • Ladies are prone to pulling their straps too high, thinking that this raises their bra higher when in fact it achieves the reverse. The garment then sits on an imbalance tilting wires into the breast tissue and causing discomfort. The result of this in many cases is a trip to the doctor, when so often its down to incorrect wearing of your bra. If wearing a non-wired bra it is still important to assess your correct breast size and to make sure that you are not trying to fit a larger breast into a cup size that is suppressing the tissue. The cup still has to fit flush with your body.

  • We all have uneven breasts, so please do not think that you are unusual. Be aware that we have to fit the bra to the fuller breast. This is always the case whether the bra is wired or non-wired.

With all of the above points in mind it can happen that your bra takes a little time to adjust as it’s akin to breaking in a new pair of shoes.

Remember if your bra has been a poor fit you need to discipline yourself to get used to your new garment. If however, you are struggling with your new bra after a few weeks we will certainly find you an alternative.

Armed with all of the information and education that we provide you with, you will leave the boutique feeling empowered and confident with your new bras.

We work closely with you, and on a one-to-one basis with every client, encouraging interaction to ensure that each visit is as enjoyable as the last.

We do not use a tape measure to assess bra sizes as they always produce an incorrect reading. Visual fitting is the best way to assess sizing so we can evaluate the best bra for you.
